Planned Grazing Systems Practice
Purpose of grazing systems is to effect economically and environmentally sound agricultural land management on pastureland by demonstrating the best use of soil and water resources through the use of rotational grazing. In order to qualify for this practice you need to have at least 4 fields that can be rotated, and have attended an approved three-day grazing school.
This practice has many components, such as interior fencing, waterlines and tanks, ponds, and now this practice includes a well that has to be used for livestock (can not be piped to house). In order to get a well or pond, there must be at least 40 acres in grass for the grazing system.
